Businesses who wish to be seen (and found) online need to be sure that they develop their Web sites using SEO best practices. There are a few foundational SEO strategies that every business should implement, including strategies to address visible page content, as well as content that is not always as obvious.
Here are 5 easy ways to build your Web site with basic SEO:
Start with a keyword-rich title
When thinking about how to build out your Website, think about it from the top-down. Start with the page title or the words that appear in your Web browser window above the actual Web page. Your page title should include keywords that describe the content of your page. And remember, every page title needs to be unique throughout your site.
Write a compelling page description
From the SEO page title, think about what’s actually on the page itself. Write a keyword-rich description of the content, but be sure to be succinct. Your page description will be your meta description. It will not actually appear on your Web page. Instead, it will appear in the search engines to describe your Web page to visitors who may have searched for content in a search engine. What you write in your meta description will either encourage or discourage searchers from clicking on a search engine result for your site so make sure your meta description is accurate, descriptive, and enticing.
Consider your URL
Next, think about what your URL is. The URL is the address for a particular Web page; it tells visitors where to go to access your content directly. Make sure your URL is short (so people don’t type errors when they try to access it directly). It should also include as many keywords as possible without over-doing it. Search engines rate the URL very highly based on the keywords and length; a short URL with only one keyword is generally better than a long URL that has 10 keywords.
H1 tags communicate directly with search engines
The content of your Web site may include images, video, and written content (also called copy or text. ) This written content should be structured in the same way that you might structure the outline of an essay (remember outlines from high school English class?) Every Web page should have some sort of page title, which is generally going to be written text. This page title, when written, should have an H1 tag associated with it or a header 1 tag. An H1 tag tells search engines what the page is all about.
As you can imagine, there are also tags ranked with H2, H3, H4 (and so on) levels as well. Use as many tags as you would like, but the H1 tag is the most important for search engines.
Hyperlink with keywords
Within the content of your Web page, you are likely to have a need to link to other pages. When you link to another page of your Web site or of another Web site, include a text hyperlink or a hyperlink that is associated with a certain line of text. The hyperlink should be attached to descriptive words that are keyword-rich. For example, whenever possible, write, resources about [keywords] can be found in the resources section instead of click here when writing a hyperlink.
By implementing these basic SEO strategies, you’ll be able to get better search engine results for your efforts and improve your visibility online. As always, be sure to work with a Web development team that understands keyword strategy and can provide tips for effectively managing your SEO campaigns.
When it comes to doing marketing online there are three things to consider. You want to write good content, create backlinks to credible sites and use social media. The old ways of marketing; though not dead, is not as effective as it once was. In the past, it was easy to rank one-page and make a lot of money. Now what search engines are looking for is link popularity, unique content, and how involved they particular website or blog is in their niche. Here are some great tips that will get your website or blog to the top of the search engines in no time. For free!
Writing good content (unique content)
If you haven’t heard already, content is king. What does this mean? Content is king means, the more content you can put out about your product or service the better your site will rank in the search engine’s. There are many great places to put your content. You have blogs, article directories, websites, forums, etc… but these sources must be relevant to your industry. Here is one very important point to remember when placing content. Do not use the same content in 10 different places. Here’s an example: Say you wrote a really good article on Internet marketing in Atlanta. Don’t just copy and paste this article in as many places as you can. This will only weaken your article strength. It’s better to have one unique article than to have 10 duplicate articles because you divide the juice of these articles by 10, therefore decreasing your article strength. One thing about writing great content is that you can put links to your sources. Your source may be YouTube, your website, blog, or maybe an article that you wrote on Ezine. Putting a link in your articles is a great way to build backlinks.
Creating stronger marketing campaigns using backlinking
Putting links in your articles is a great way to build backlinks. In the past few years backlinking has become very popular. Now that you have an article written on Internet marketing in Atlanta you want to link it back to your website or blog. Why is this important? It’s important because if someone likes your article, they may put a link from your article on their website. That is why this method is called back linking. This is also important because if the site linking to your article is really strong in the search engine and is relevant to your industry, your website or article will receive some of the strength as well. The more of these articles you post, the more other sites will link to you. Your goal is to write as many relevant articles about Internet marketing as you can to get more back links. This will help your website move up in the search engines really quickly.
Social media marketing will catapult your website or blog
Social Media is taking the Internet by storm. If you haven’t joined one of these social media platforms; Facebook, YouTube, twitter, LinkedIn yet, you are missing out on a ton of traffic and links. Social media is a great way to interact with the client or potential customers. Consumers feel more comfortable dealing with people they know then with businesses they don’t know. If someone is looking for an Internet marketing company in Atlanta and you have had interaction with them on Twitter, Facebook or YouTube, you will more likely to close them before a business they are unfamiliar with. It’s like creating you own warm lead. Social Media is also a great way to build long term relationships with clients you have never met, unlike other forms of marketing media (Yellow pages, newspapers, radio, etc…). The one important thing to remember when using social media is, you must be sociable. Don’t create an account and think that you’re going to build a strong network without talking about your product and services. Another great thing you can do with social media is promote contest and events. This will get people involved with what you’re doing in your community and they will start to look at you as an industry expert. And if you’re good at what you’re doing, you’ll instantly build a network of friends that will help promote your business locally, nationally and worldwide. All you have to do is make friends.
If you use social media, great content, and link building in your marketing campaigns, your website will be at the top of the search engines in no time. Just remember, you need to put in the work now to be successful in you future endeavors.

Marketing a franchise online can be very time consuming and quite complex. With all the many techniques and solutions out there… how do you select the right one? First of all you need to find the methods that work for your industry or franchise. What works for a small company may not work for your company, and what works for one franchise won’t work for another. To succeed with your online campaign, you need to know what products are available and how they work for your industry. Below are some great marketing tips that can increase traffic to your business. Your job is to find which one or combination of these solutions will work for your web site.
There are three things to consider when marketing or advertising your new or existing franchise.
1. Marketing in Your Location
One of the big no no’s with owning a franchise is marketing in another franchisors territory. If you market in another franchise territory, it’s like going into someone’s house and stealing their TV and selling it to a pawnshop. In this case you won’t go to jail but the organization you purchase the franchise from many fine you and if this continues, they take away your franchise. That is why it’s highly important to work with a company that provides pinpoint marketing and knows the rules of your franchise organization.
2. Co-op Dollars for your Franchise
Co-op is when a franchise organization develops a national marketing budget that is divided amongst the franchise owners. In many cases an experienced marketing company is able to work out the details of a franchises co-op program. This allows the franchise owner to spend little or no many out of pocket to generate to new business.
3. Get involved in your Community
Getting involved with your community is very important. Many franchises fell because the community never embraces them. When hiring a marketing company you need to know that they have the ability to get you exposure in your community. One of the best ways of doing this is through social media (twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc…). Your social media program need to be customized to fit your industry and demographic.

When it comes to getting your first website developed, there are a few things to consider. It doesn’t matter if you own a plumbing,
roofing, carpet cleaning company, or a professional service such as an attorney, dentist or chiropractor, the task of getting your first website designed can get really confusing really fast. Here are some basic tips that will make it a little easier to choose a web designer for your business.
The search for a designer
Finding a web designer is pretty easy to do. You can pick up just about any yellow page director, newspaper, or search the web to find a designer. You will most likely see terms like cheap web designer, affordable web sites, free website design tools, etc… but it doesn’t mean that the web developer is good. The first thing you want to do is check out the portfolio. If a portfolio isn’t available you may want to go to the next web designer. Next you need to contact two or three of the client’s to measure their satisfaction with the web developers work. Next, set an appointment with at least 3 of the designers. ( it doesn’t matter if the appointment is via phone, web conference or in person). You are now ready to ask each company a few important questions about your design and web development project.
Important questions to ask the website designer
How long have you been in the web design business? If in business for less than two years, What are the most recent projects that your firm has completed. Can the website easily be updated? Things like content, photo, coupons, specials, etc…
When the site is complete, will I own the website? When your website is complete, ask to get it on disk, (website and database) or host it through GoDaddy, Blue host or any reputable hosting company.
How long is it going to take.?
How much is the project going to cost? What are my payment options?
It doesn’t matter if your web designer is located in Atlanta GA, Dallas TX or Miami FL. These questions will apply.
Can the site be easily optimized for the search engines? (you don’t want a total flash site or a site that is nothing but images)
This last question is very important. Will my site, title, descriptions, keyword tags be complete and relevant to my page content? (it’s called on page optimization) If this isn’t done correctly, your site will be nearly invisible to the major search engines.
This is not a hand book on how to select the right web designer for your web development project, but a few basic tips that will make choosing a website designer a lot less painful.
This info is provide by U.S. Image Design. I hope these tips on selecting the best web design company for your project is helpful. U.S. Image Design is taking lead generation and marketing to the next level and we want to bring you with us. It is an absolute fact that without marketing most companies will go out of business. Without marketing it will be nearly impossible to replace past word of mouth clients with new business. That is why it is important to come up with a plan of action to drive quality traffic to your business or website.
There are many sources that say print marketing is dead (yellow pages, newspaper, magazines, etc…), and that business owners should start putting their marketing dollars into the internet. There are also sources that state billboards don’t work and it’s a waste of time and money trying to construct a billboard campaign. The same thing has been said about radio, TV, mail-out etc… It is your job as the business owner to at least research and find which method of marketing works best for you.
Similar to the stock market, a business owner should always diversify their marketing portfolio. If you put all of your marketing eggs (Dollars) in one basket, you stay a huge chance of crashing and burning if your marketing goes cold. That is why it is important to research what works for your industry or hire a marketing firm to help build a custom marketing program that fits your needs.
The great thing about using other forms of marketing, you can drive traffic to your website to increase lead conversion. If you have print marketing make sure that your website address is highly visible. If you have radio marketing, make sure that your website is mentioned at least 3 times (Once in the beginning, middle and end). It is a proven fact that the longer a client researches a company, the better chances are they will make a purchase.

How to get traffic to my web site is a question that most web site owners have been asking since the creation of the internet. Many times people think that there is a magic solution or trick to getting more traffic to their website, but the real answer is hard work and preparation.
First of all you need to find the methods that work for your industry or niche. What works for a plumber might not work for an attorney, and what works for an auto body shop won’t work for an internet marketing company. To succeed with your online campaign, you need to know what products are available and how they work for your industry. Below are some great internet marketing tools that can increase traffic to your website. Your job is to find which one or combination of these products will work for your web site.
Google maps
Google Maps is a great tool to use to increase traffic to your website. If you provide products or services in a 10-20 mile radius of your business location (must have an address to use Google Maps) having a Map listing is a must. This form of marketing is free but you still need to make sure that your map listing is optimized and is completely filled out. If not done correctly your Google Map listing won’t show in the results of a local search.
Social Media
Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin are some really great social media tools that if don’t correctly can really increase the traffic to your website. The problem with social media is, it really takes a tremendous amount of time to get the traffic to flow, but once does start to flow it’s quite rewarding. This is also a free source of advertising and can be used in conjunction with your Google maps. This is not only a great local marketing tool but national and globally as well.
Directory Submission
Depending on your industry, Directory submission is another great tool. All directories aren’t created equal. Some directories can be used for link building and others are used for generating traffic to your website. Directories like Superpages.com, Yellowpages.com and Yellowbook.com are great to generate traffic. If you are a plumber, carpet cleaner, roofer, etc… advertising in these directories will do your business good. These directories aren’t free, but depending on your business location it is well worth the cost to be listed with them. This is a great form of local marketing.
PPC, Pay-Per-Click or SEM
Pay-Per-Click (PPC) or Search engine marketing (SEM) is a paid form of marketing. Many people think that throwing money at a PPC program will make them money. WRONG! Once again you must take time with the tools that Google, Yahoo and Bing provide and read up on PPC marketing before spending a dime. Many companies have gone broke because they didn’t have solid plan of action and ended up spend thousands of dollars on an ineffective PPC campaign. Here is another great tip that will get you qualified traffic with a PPC campaign, Negative Keywords. Just learning about negative keywords will give you a leg up over the competition and will save you a lot of money on useless clicks. PPC is a great method of marketing locally, nationally or globally but it can get expensive very fast.
Search Engine Optimization- SEO
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is an awesome form of marketing your website online. SEO is not an instant solution but if done correctly can generate traffic to your website that is out of this world. It takes a little time to develop so don’t expect super fast results. This form of marketing is Free if you do it yourself but is not recommended because it takes so much time to learn. Hire a internet marketing company that has a proven track record with generating leads using SEO. There are many companies that provide tools that can help you in the quest of learning SEO. SEOBook.com, SEOMoz.org and SEO.com are some great resources that have been around for many years. To register for these sites doesn’t cost you a dime and the information is always up to date. This method of marketing can be used locally, nationally or globally and is very rewarding when it comes to generating traffic.

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume or quality of traffic to a web site or a web page (such as a blog) from search engines via “natural” or un-paid (“organic” or “algorithmic”) search results as opposed to other forms of search engine marketing (SEM) which may deal with paid inclusion. The theory is that the earlier (or higher) a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search and industry-specific vertical search engines. This gives a web site web presence.
As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work and what people search for. Optimizing a website primarily involves editing its content and HTML and associated coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines.
The acronym “SEO” can refer to “search engine optimizers,” a term adopted by an industry of consultants who carry out optimization projects on behalf of clients, and by employees who perform SEO services in-house. Search engine optimizers may offer SEO as a stand-alone service or as a part of a broader marketing campaign. Because effective SEO may require changes to the HTML source code of a site, SEO tactics may be incorporated into web site development and design. The term “search engine friendly” may be used to describe web site designs, menus, content management systems, images, videos, shopping carts, and other elements that have been optimized for the purpose of search engine exposure.
Another class of techniques, known as black hat SEO or spamdexing, uses methods such as link farms, keyword stuffing and article spinning that degrade both the relevance of search results and the user-experience of search engines. Search engines look for sites that employ these techniques in order to remove them from their indices.
If you are running a business in a very competitive market like Atlanta, Dallas, New York, etc… where the population is outrageous, it is vital that you incorporate internet marketing as a part of your marketing campaign. It is encouraged that a company research the best methods to drive traffic to a company website before spending a dime. The first thing you will probably see a lot of while conducting your research is SEO and PPC. This article will give you a basic idea what Search Engine Optimization and Pay Per Click is all about, and why it is very important to utilize them both.
There are lots of methods that are available to website owners as to how they plan to increase their traffic and effectively promote their internet business. Search engine optimization (popularly called SEO) along with pay per click (PPC) ad campaigns such as banners and email marketing are indeed one of the most common and very effective methods when it comes to non-web advertising.
Search engine optimization & PPC campaigns (such as Google Ads, Yahoo etc) are two top methods that are considered as highly result oriented. Both PPC and search engine optimization are known to have their own benefits, this article will go on to explain the differences between these two and how two of them can help you.
If you choose to still continue using search engine optimization as your one and only source of marketing, you will need to balance your marketing strategy because the competition may already have. Please understand that this is not to imply that Search engine optimization is not helpful; but the solution is not to totally rely on it, but follow in the steps of what other successful online businesses are using a complementary and mixed search engine marketing strategy. This method still utilizes the SEO method to rely on internet spiders and to very carefully placed keywords. Still, it also accesses a valuable paid search, internet public relations and many other strategies,
The key is that a varied and integrated approach can launch one’s business through the roof without further delays. Well, on the other hand, this immediate start if properly managed can be sustained, which means that the success is long term. A really careful balance of internet marketing tactics can also be lucrative, which will of course lead to a combination of low costs and high income this is indeed a great combination.
SEO works by using specific keywords or key phrases in order to get high ranking on search engine search results. The end result of higher ranking thanks to search engine optimization is that your web site gets more hits. You also need to understand that going after traffic only is the biggest misconceptions about optimizing your website because failing to target your keywords rightly will greatly reduce your conversion rate. This strategy works and is also a very important part of any internet marketing campaign. Actually, about 60% of clicks to a particular website are all thanks to optimizing the website.
With pay per click, the formulas used never change. Your ad will show up when a surfer types in a given keyword or keyword phrase. One can even guarantee that they get more coverage than the competition by simply paying the search engine or other types of marketing vehicles. With pay per click, you do not have to start with a high bid even though the upfront payment costs of paid ad placements are way less than search engine optimization. In addition, you can also expect fast results.
Note: Finding the correct method to market your company can be very confusing and time consuming. That is my it is importatant to seek the advise of a SEO- Internet Marketing professional before taking on this task alone.
I hope this article is helpful in your quest to finding the best methods to marketing your business online. You will find so many more internet marketing solutions on the web, but SEO and PPC in most cases (if done correctly) will grow your business. If you have any questions please fill free to contact:

Greg Jarboe Webpronews.com The Death (Or Redefinition) Of SEO Discussed
In the past it was very easy to optimize a website. All you had to do is create a strong title, write up a keyword rich description and throw in a few industry specific keywords to get your site to rank on the first page of Google, Yahoo, MSN (now Bing), etc. There is a major flaw with this method today. EVERYONE IS DOING IT!
Don’t be mistaken, in some markets this method of SEO is still highly effective. Places like Virginia, Kentucky, and South Carolina (just to name a few) still has a lot of opportunity for growth. Trying to rank in places like California, Atlanta Georgia, Dallas Texas and New York for industries such as roofing, water damage, carpet cleaning, plumbing, etc… is nearly impossible using basic SEO strategies. This is where more advanced forms of lead generation are needed.
What other ways can a small business, franchise or new company get presence on the web without using SEO?
The number one thing to remember about marketing on the web is, YOU MUST THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX! One method of marketing will not be enough to successfully promote your company. You need to be in a mind set of lead generation. Here are some great tools that will give your company a leg up over the competition.
- Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn – is taking lead generation to the next level. (Social Media)
- YouTube and Photo Bucket ( Video and Image sites)
- EzineArticles, Buzzle, GoArticles, etc… (Gives people from all over the world a way to promote products and services through article writing)
- Social Bookmarking Digg, Stumble Upon, reddit (A great way to share your videos, images and articles with thousands of searching consumers)
- Blogging – WordPress and Blogger.com (Gives you the ability to write fresh new content that creates links, drive traffic and give you a boost in the search engines)
All of the methods above have two things in common, fresh content and link building. Though Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is not completely dead, in this day in time it would be a tremendous mistake to rely on this method alone. If the tools above are used correctly, when SEO does die out your company will be sitting pretty.
Note: The methods above are very time consuming and in some cases tedious. Don’t feel like you have to do it on your own. There are some very capable internet marketing companies that will be glad to give you a hand at creating leads for your company.
Thank you for taking the time to read my article. I hope this was helpful. If you have questions about internet marketing, lead generation, SEO, PPC or Social Media Please contact us:
